Did you know: In Hinduism, white sandalwood is believed to bring one closer to the Divine. Thus, it is one of the most important sacred elements in Vedic culture. Ancient Egyptians also placed great value on white sandalwood and imported it from India to use as medicine and incense. The scent of sandalwood was believed to appease all Egyptian deities, especially , goddess of love, magic, fertility, death and reincarnation.

Note: Sandalwood trees originated in Southern India about 5000 years ago. They thrived in the humidity and eventually spread east towards the Bengal Delta, Malay & Indonesian Archipelagos, Australia, Melanesia and the Hawaiian Islands. There are over 30 varieties present today.

Why is that noteworthy? There may be many varieties of sandalwood, but only those native to India, the Originals, so to speak, are considered to be the best in terms of quality, fragrance and healing power. Ayurveda utilizes sandalwood to ease pain and for treating anxiety & depression.

Rest Assured: The sandalwood in this oil has been sustainably harvested. The essential oil is free of glycerin, alcohol and all fillers.

This essential oil is super concentrated and is meant to be applied neat, but in a very minute amount. Please exercise caution at all times.

Apply minutely to your wrists, bare shoulders, behind knees, elbows and your hair.

Don’t want to wear it? No problem. Even by simply breathing the fragrance of the oil right from the bottle can have amazing therapeutic effects on the psyche.

Consider diluting this essential oil in a carrier oil. Check out our Organic Apricot Kernel Oil. We suggest 2-3 drops of essential oil with our one-ounce bottle of Apricot Kernel Oil.

Try using this essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser to scent your living space. Check out our Aromatherapy Copper Burner. This burner requires a very small amount of essential oil to create a beautiful aromatic experience.

Keep away from small children and pets.

We highly recommend exercising caution when applying any essential oil to your skin if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a physician if you are on any medications.
