Smoked Marigold Flowers set in Sandalwood Oil (Aged)

Provenance: Rajasthan State, North India
This earthy sweet attar requires ten years to perfect and it is worth the long wait. First, marigold flowers are lightly smoked over hot coals to remove their pungency and to reveal their distinct floral aroma. We are searching for a sweet-herbaceous aroma here, with absolutely no smokiness whatsoever. After distillation, the aging process does the rest. Ultimately, what you get is an exquisitely sensuous scent which is as beautiful as it is therapeutic.

Apply minutely to your wrists, bare shoulders, behind knees, elbows and your hair.
Don’t want to wear it? No problem. Even by simply breathing the fragrance of the oil right from the bottle can have amazing therapeutic effects on the psyche.
Consider diluting this essential oil in a carrier oil. Check out our Organic Apricot Kernel Oil. We suggest 2-3 drops of essential oil with our one-ounce bottle of Apricot Kernel Oil.
Try using this essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser to scent your living space. Check out our Aromatherapy Copper Burner. This burner requires a very small amount of essential oil to create a beautiful aromatic experience.
Keep away from small children and pets.
We highly recommend exercising caution when applying any essential oil to your skin if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a physician if you are on any medications.
Do not apply oil on mucous membranes, broken skin, cuts and/or open wounds.
Do not ingest this oil. It is for topical use and for adding to an aromatherapy diffuser only. If ingested, contact your physician immediately.
We do not suggest diluting any of our essential oils in water and/or other liquids – other than in carrier oil – to be used as a room or body spray. This is due to the potential growth of hazardous bacteria in these dilutions. Doing so may cause serious allergic and/or respiratory reactions.
Although this oil is made to be worn on the skin it may cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is highly recommended prior to use.

Evelyn Neaman –
Smoked Marigold is definitely a favorite. I anoint my marigold mala with it once a month. And the notes are pure heaven!
