What is the Sacral Chakra?
The Sacral Chakra is also known as the 2nd Chakra. It regulates the flow of our creativity, sexual energy and our social behaviors. It’s the fundamental domain of our emotions – especially enthusiasm and intimacy – and how we deal with these energies in our everyday lives.
A fully developed 2nd Chakra motivates us to be happy, passionate and content. Our personal charisma is also linked with this chakra and when balanced, allows us to be sexually expressive in a safe and healthy way without any guilt or shame.
The Sacral Chakra becomes imbalanced when it’s triggered by guilt, injury and/or emotional conflict. This imbalance may manifest itself as self-destructiveness, dependence, manipulative behaviour, addictions and a lack of creative energy.
It’s important to remember that all our chakras are in constant flux: Sometimes they’re open and at times blocked and everything in between. A reminder that we are all having a human experience!

• Reconnect with the element of water (go swimming, take a soothing bath)
