Did you know: These jasmine flowers appear to be either a soft blue or white depending on how the sunlight falls on them!
Note: Emperor Jahangir was well known for his profound love for flowers – his favorite being the jasmine. Not only did he assign his horticulturists to draft detailed records and prints of all plants thriving in his empire, he brought in numerous exotic flowers from all throughout Eurasia to grace his gardens. In fact, some even claim that it is Jahangir who is responsible for some of the flowers found in northern India today!
Why is that noteworthy? Jahangir adored Kashmir and spent his summers there. He commissioned all his best horticulturists to crossbreed the fragrant grandiflorum jasmine flowers from his royal gardens in Delhi with the exotic snow-resistant, but unscented star jasmine flowers (that he had collected from Tibet) in his Kashmir Palace. After numerous attempts, a robust and exceptionally fragrant jasmine known, as ‘Imperial Blue’ was born. With his vision Jahangir was immortalized – not just as a great emperor, but also as one of the leading innovators in the field of botany.
Rest Assured: The jasmine flowers in this oil are cultivated sustainably. The oil is free of glycerin, alcohol, chemicals and all fillers.
