What is the Heart Chakra?
The Heart Chakra is also called the 4th Chakra. This chakra is our energy center for love, compassion, empathy, gratitude and forgiveness. When our heart chakra is well balanced, we experience a sense of emotional harmony and inner peace.
The Heart Chakra becomes imbalanced by stress, traumatic events, illness and memories of abuse and abandonment. An imbalance of this chakra may cause one to become overly self-critical and demanding of others. One may become distant and withdrawn from people and social obligations. On the other end of the spectrum, one may become clingy and possessive, lose personal boundaries and unnecessarily self-sacrifice at one’s own detriment.
It’s important to remember that all our chakras are in constant flux: Sometimes they’re open and at times blocked and everything in between. A reminder that we are all having a human experience!

• Be kind to yourself and give yourself time, patience and understanding
